Fuck Oxycontin and Opiates
Yes, fuck oxycontin, fuck vicodin and fuck all the opiates that lead us into this………yep that fucked up state of addiction with zero warning. If you got hooked on opiates on your own accord, still, I say….fuck it. For the mass majority of us (especially if your reading this) the easy fix is from our doctors / dealers. Why hit up some mother fucker on the street when you can hit up a guy in a suit driving a Ferrari…uh…legally? Buy from a dude on the corner, you get the cuffs. Buy from a guy in a suite….and your being “responsible”.
Give me a FUCKING break, literally. Has anyone seen that scene from Caddy Shack where Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield) pulls the “Oh my arm, it’s broken, it’s broken”. This is the reality of opiate addiction. Selling on the corner is illegal, got an office and your admired and are a helpful soul. My fucking god man *lol*…is everyone that fucking stupid. Granted for a time being back in the days, I loved it. I got to eat the cake, I drank the milk and even stole the cow on my way out….LEGALLY!
Is any out there on the same page as me? THERE IS NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE!!!!! One single word to sum it all up…. “Perception” “It is both a tool and a weapon administered by those that can use it”.

I only published this cause it was funny, wrote it one night after a few beers. I have been off the sub since late 07 with no fuck ups or relapses…no one lecture me about having a few beers ok… This is someting I wrote along time ago. Just thought I would publish it cause it is funny, I think.

Its a choice to come off. It takes no luck, nothing but your decision to say fuck it. So everyone who asks for luck, go fuck yourself. I was on them for 5 years and literally said I quit. I quit 11.11.11 and havent done shit since. I made the choice and did it. Not worrying about doctors, dealers, whatever everyone is rampin on. Just make a decision, either quit or keep takin them, you make the choice, that simple. Peace

Weeks? PLease….so much info on this stuff has changed since it was introduced? That is is meant for a week is AN OPINION, that’s all…AND IF YOU’RE MD is the one that told u that…..I’m not surprised….in fact….it’s an antiquated opinion ion for the most part.
HeH- JONES sound like yr a pretty smart guy huh? What about some of us that went to the Dr. and did what we were sopposed to do,,, and found out on our own that we were lied to by the Dr.s. ignorant? yes i guess i was . I didnt do my homework which maybe i shoulkd have . But when you have been useing for 35-40 years and as run down as i was , I probably would at that point done anything the Dr. told me to do. Now that I have done my homework and my Dr, has too we simply put a taper plan together and I am working it as hard as possible. Their are some of us that dont go running to a detox for a runny nose like some people that post. Gad yr way worked and yr free and clear, But probably would not slam other peoplle just for wanting to be well GodSpeed!!!!!!!!!
wow.. months on subs? if done correctly it takes 4-7 days maybe even take 8 mg and drop a mg a day to make it an 8 day taper since i see sooooo many people on subs for YEARS.. i used to take 3-5 80mg ocs (Oxycontin) before the ops came out and i couldn’t slam them but i could slam diamorphine (aka heroin) . but that’s the big boy way to take your poison.. but to some this up, SUBOXON WAS CREATED FOR SHORT TERM USE!! PERIOD!!! why change poisons? its intended for a week tops. if you take subs for months even years good luck on that withdraw my friends lmao!! my detox was in a clinic for 7 days 100% pain free. i was addicted for over 3 years. DON’T BE A FOOL, TAKE A 7 DAY PAIN FREE DETOX ON SUBS . don’t take them for a long period of time like a fool. do your homework

Heh Prettypissed,, I feel for you . Went down the same road as you. Dr. says will noy scipt me any more,and its just all in my head. Luckt I saw the writimg on the wall long b4 he shut me off.. Do to Brians page i realized what i got into about a week after Dr. started me on 16mgs a day back in 7-2012 Just coudnt figure out how a drug can just eliminate wds off norco over nite! So I started my wean down about 2 weeks after that fierst script. I also went each month and got my 60 8mgs and just stock piled them . I am now down to .75mg and today will be day 3 at that dose. Will drop to .5 2-14 12 .Hope maybe even sooner as i still havent felt any effects from each drop!Going to take my sweet as time as i have 6 bottles put up .I hate this crap and all that goes with this tapering crap,,, Measuring itall outand bindleing it all up .But i have stuck with the plan and dont care anything about pain meds. Actually it was my idea to get off meds in the first place. Pain Dr. just wanted to just keep giving the stuff away like candy,,waSNT EVEN HELPING MY PAIN ANYWAY But it was too late and i had a full blown addiction. This subutex i truley believe is a great tool if the Dr.s would just educate themselves as to how strong and addictive this stuff really is! Now im in it ,,,so itsjust slow and go till i ride it out to the end ,,which should be around 3-15-12 wish all you guys luck and God Bless
I went to my doctor 5 years ago for chronic headaches so naturally he prescribes me Lortab 10′s for over 2 years. He made me come in every month just for Lortabs. He said he wasn’t allowed to write refills, which I later found out was a lie. I realized I was addicted to them and wanted to get off of them so he put me on suboxone. He charged $125 a month for just writing a prescription and every 4 to 6 months I would take a drug test at $120. It is just a pee in a cup test. About 8 months ago he decided to move to california and open a clinic, while hiring a PA to stay in the Louisiana location so that he could still keep all his patients. He put up a sign that he was raising the rates to $175 a month for his subutex patients. He said his reasoning at the time was paperwork, but later told me he had to do it bc he was dropping 70 of his 100 subutex patients bc the PA was only allowed 30 patients. I was told since I pay every time that he was keeping me. Two months later I found out that he still had his 100 patients bc he found some loophole but he did not change the prices back and also changed the rules of drug testing to every other month. They refuse to write refills. Last month they switched drug test cups bc they found a company that offered lower prices. It is basically the same one you can get at any local pharmacy, but didnt lower the price for his patients. I have been on suboxone for 3 years and even though he wants me to stay on it forever I’m weaning myself off the meds. I am down to 2 mg a day. Now his nurse just tried to make me take another drug test and when I said I just took one last month she flipped threw her chart to check and got mad at me and chunked the drug test in the trash. The PA then informs me that due to the main doctor having two clinics all the prescriptions get called into one pharmacy and that’s where I have to go. They chose a compound pharmacy that cost me an extra $50 to get my prescription there, so now my doc is making kickbacks for the prescriptions. There are very few places around here that have suboxone writing physicians and there is a waiting list bc they can only see 100 patients and even though I’ve been on it for 3 years they will still charge me a crazy induction cost.
I too was prescribed oxycontin for over 6 yrs. my family, my husband, everyone wanted me off of it, but also knew i couldn’t just STOP taking it so yes i kept going back to Dr. Corvette, (well mine was Dr. navy blue Mercedes with gold trim, the bastard…) anyhow to make a long story short, this MFCKER must be in trouble with the state from what i heard, and straight TRIED to cut me off! UNTIL i told him he HAD to give me something so i wouldn’t have withdrawals, and it would be severe by what i ‘d taken for so long….so the dumbass gives me 20 30 mg oxys and some valium and closed my chart!! I had been prescribed 6, 3 20s and 3 40′s for YEARS plus 150 vicodin PLUS 120 somas FOR YEARS!! this bastard did NOT give a rat’s ass….told my husband to take me to ER, so we did, i had my pharmacist print my history and he even signed off on it, thot it was BS that the dr did that to me like that, and the ER gave 10mg straight in my IV and that of course stopped my bad withdrawals but could only give me percs to find another dr or another way……time is ticking and our only hope is a cash dr that gives suboxene. my parents paid the $300 first office visit and i’ve been on the suboxene film for almost a month now..it DOES STOP the symptoms but all the pain in my whole body is back…i’ve counted on the oxys for everything from teeth to toenails and nobody would ever give anything else BECAUSe i was already on those….so now my tolerance is so frickin HIGH that NOTHING helps anything…however i am NOT sick like pill sick…those are my thots, good luck
Hey Brian, I hear you man!!!! I’m just starting to try and get off the Subbies for good. The drug was a life saver for me. It’s not the drug that’s the problem, it’s the fucking asshole “Professionals” I have to deal with in order to get them. Between the Corvette driving Drs. that refuse to prescribe me the Subutex in generic form that costs me around $2.90 a pill. They insist in the loudest of tones that “I WILL take the Suboxone Film”. And when I try to explain the cost difference, Dr. Corvette says”I DON’T CARE!” Nice thing for a Dr. to say to a patient. It’s like when the patients come to his office who are not on the Suboxone program, he smiles and greets them like they were royalty. But let a struggling addict come in and they’re looked upon like the scum of the earth. Then when you leave the office to get your script filled, as soon as the Pharmacist reads the script, he or she looks up and again gives the addict customer a look like they just hit an old lady over the head for her Social Security check. And this is the greatest, this just happened last week. I went to the pharmacy to fill my script, and there was like 5 people ahead of me, 4 of which got their meds wrote the guy a check and left. As soon as my script was ready, instead of the clerk ringing me up, the pharmacist flew around the counter and said “I can’t take a check for that medication” I said ” you took a check for everyone elses meds, why not mine? He replies “I I I just can’t take a check for that medication, either cash or credit card, and I mean it!” I was ready to punch this fucking weasel so hard his dog would have bled!!! After weathering that storm, I come home and get the mail where my insurance company refuses to pay for any form of Buprenorphine, because I’m not in private counseling. I have NEVER had a hot urine since beginning suboxone therapy. Never missed an appointment. Never had an outstanding balance, NOTHING. I followed their rules to the letter, and they still treat us like we are all a bunch of no account street junkies. Well Brian, I would agree with your short but to the point sentiment: FUCK EM ALL!!!! Please wish me luck on my trying to gradually scale down and eventually get off of these things and tell all the aforementioned assholes to go stick a garden hose up there asses and turn on the valve.
Help!! I loved Brians journal! I am a nurse/paramedic who was badly injured-neck broke in 7 places. All surgeries failed so I’ve been chasing pills for 7 yrs. Never any drug seeking behaviors, always took what I was prescribed and no more, etc. Tired of it-got into a “Suboxone for pain” study and now I swear the neck pain is worse with the Subs. I noticed in Brians posts about neck and shoulder pain and that is exactly what I am experiencing. Has anyone else had a stiff feeling neck with Subbies? Is it the Naloxone? By the way I’m on day 9 of Suboxone. Thanks to anyone who responds.
